Overview
Under the auspices of the Pretoria North Muslim Educational Institute (PNMEI), the first Muṣallā was established in the 1970s behind Solomons, addressing the need for a dedicated prayer space beyond the Jumuʿah locations in Marabastad and Queen Street. In the 1990s, the community moved to the current Jamāt Khānah, which has served us well up to now. However, with continuous growth, we have outgrown this space, prompting the construction of a new Masjid. Masjid Sulaiman, set to open in September, will accommodate 700 musallees, reflecting our commitment to providing a larger, more accommodating space for our growing congregation.
