The Islamic Hopeline Centre, founded twenty years ago by two dedicated women, began its journey to provide essential counselling services. In June 2004, the Hopeline office was established at the Darus Salaam Centre, marking its official beginning under the guidance of the Jamiatul Ulama.

Initially supported by key religious figures, the centre has grown significantly, now staffed by a dedicated team of 15 women and 6 men. These volunteers provide counselling and support not only to the local community but rather across borders and religions. The centre empowers its counsellors through certified training and collaborates with psychological and legal professionals when necessary. Services extend beyond the office, including home and hospital visits.

A significant project of the Islamic Hopeline is the Muslim Marriage Forum, created to provide a Sharīʿah-compliant platform for matching unmarried individuals. The forum has facilitated numerous successful marriages and continues to welcome new applicants, ensuring it meets the community's needs effectively.
